Robotic Systems Laboratory Research Assistant

Santa Clara University · Santa Clara, California

Continuing undergraduate-to-graduate research in the SCU Robotic Systems Lab, with work spanning autonomous marine robotics, industrial robotic workcells, mission operations, and robotics training development.

  • Co-lead development of a remote-access COMAU Racer 5 robotic workcell integrating a web interface, MQTT, a Python lab agent, ROS 2, RoboDK, and physical robot control.
  • Developed and tested human-facing robot controls with clear command/actual-state feedback, live OptiTrack pose data, accessibility-conscious interaction patterns, and safety-oriented access controls.
  • Developed the MANTARAY Profiler operator GUI for mission configuration and interaction, and supported software integration and autonomous-navigation testing.
  • Supported NASA ACS3 mission control operations, including satellite tracking and contact execution.
  • Collaborate on ROS training development using a physical MyCobot robot, with responsibilities spanning technical content, command/reference organization, and documentation.
  • Supported one Ohlone College MESA summer intern working on ROS 2 control of a 6-DOF robot arm, with the work connected to the COMAU robotic workcell project.
  • Work across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to translate system needs into practical engineering decisions, testing workflows, and technical documentation.
